Mary Darden-Robinson is an outpatient therapist that practices in an intimate and warm counseling environment located in the Hampton Roads area. Mrs.Robinson specializes in providing evidence-based practices utilizing cognitive behavioral, person-centered, and motivational interviewing techniques to engage youth and families. Mrs.Robinson strives to assist youth and families with living holistic, safe, and healthy lifestyles by addressing everyday life situations such as familial discord, self-esteem and acceptance, stress management, crisis intervention, and coping with challenging as well as intrusive thoughts and behaviors that impact one’s overall emotional wellness. Mrs. Darden-Robinson has a strong clinical background that consists of providing therapeutic services to those that are involved with the Court system, Department of Human Services, and Family and Assessment Planning Teams (FAPT). Her experience also includes providing services within the residential, detention, school, and community settings. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Norfolk State University. Additionally, she holds a certificate as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) along with a Master Addictions Counselor certificate (MAC) and is recognized as a Human Services Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP). Furthermore, Ms. Darden-Robinson is a Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner(LSATP) with sixteen years of experience within the field. She is SAMHSA GAINS Center’s trained in providing “How Being Trauma-Informed Improves Criminal Justice System Responses”.
